NVIDIA L4
A low-profile Ada Lovelace PCIe accelerator with 24 GB of GPU memory and a 72 W TDP. It is intended for inference, video processing and graphics workloads in space- and power-constrained servers.
Technical specifications
| Architecture | NVIDIA Ada Lovelace |
|---|---|
| GPU memory | 24 GB |
| Memory bandwidth | 300 GB/s |
| Host interface | PCIe Gen4 x16 |
| Maximum TDP | 72 W |
| Form factor | Single-slot, low-profile |
| NVENC / NVDEC / JPEG decoders | 2 / 4 / 4 |
Applications
- LLM and other neural-network inference.
- Video encoding, decoding and AI video processing.
- Virtual workstations and real-time graphics in supported server environments.
Compatibility
- Verify the exact server model, slot clearance, power cabling and cooling with the OEM. A PCIe slot alone does not establish compatibility. Passive cooling requires forced airflow from the server.
- A low-profile card still needs the correct bracket, server airflow and a slot that supports its power requirements. Check model memory requirements against 24 GB rather than assuming that every LLM fits.
- Check driver, CUDA/framework and operating-system support for the intended workload. Virtualization and enterprise software may require separate licenses and a supported host configuration.
